Join us for an unforgettable journey into a time capsule of unspoiled nature and evocative history. Come with us to this undiscovered land of castles, churches, citadels, wild pristine nature where bears and wolves still roam in the traditional meadows. Cobbled streets, majestic vistas and fairytale towns are all to be experienced in Transylvania, Romania.
While our journey begins and ends in Bucharest, one of Europe’s least explored capitals, we soon head out into the magnificent scenery of Transylvania. We have chosen to spend more time in the beautiful rural towns and villages of Transylvania, We travel in a comfortable bus, over the highway made famous by the Top Gear team and visit the most quaint, interesting and unspoiled areas.
We have plenty of open time for nature hikes, personal exploration as well as an expert guide-led journey.
Of course Bran Castle is on our route, so pack the garlic! Romania is made magical with its ancient myths and legends, Dracula being the most famous.
Gypsy music and folklore, a horse and cart experience, a steam train, the bear sanctuary at Zarnesti and explore the famous salt mine at Sovata. We end back in Bucharest for our last night in the lakeside hotel near the city center. Our last day we tour Bucharest before heading back to the airport for our trip home. This journey will surprise and delight. And what is more fun that to travel with like-minded friends, with a sprinkling of yoga and meditation and talking circles.
